HRS: Mixed Results for Fish Oil in AFib Prevention

 
Omega-3 fish oil doesn't prevent atrial fibrillation after coronary artery bypass surgery when given perioperatively, but it might decrease susceptibility with chronic use in patients with suspected supraventricular tachycardia, according to two separate studies presented at the 2010 Heart Rhythm Society meeting in Denver.
