Access to Medicine course at COWA 2013/14.

Hello

I was wondering if anyone else on here had received a place on the 2013/14 access course at COWA? If so what are people doing in terms of accommodation?

Just wondering if there's any applicants/students out there who are from ordinary socio-economic backgrounds? I thought one of the aims of GEP was to broaden access but I'm not sure that has happened in reality.

Anyone who is actually a student; how have you coped with the culture shock? How have you managed to remain confident in this world? How have you coped with negative reactions from your family?

F1 at Coventry and Warwick FS - anyone in the know?

Hi Everyone,

I am a final year medic not studying at Warwick but hoping to move back for foundation training. I've had a look at the various rotations available at Coventry and Warwickshire Foundation School but I had a couple of questions I'd imagine only people who study there would be able to answer, any info would be greatly appreciated :-).

Firstly, I know that most jobs are across two trusts, I'm quite keen to get 2 jobs at Warwick hospital and just 1 at Uni hospital. What do most people want to do? i.e. are rotations with more time at the Uni hospital more or less popular than those with more time at Warwick for example?

Secondly, what are the hospitals like to work/study in? I'm currently in Sheffield so used to a couple of big teaching hospitals and quite varied DGHs.

Again, any info anyone has would be great :-). Thanks for reading.
