Okay so this is a bit awkward having received the tentative email from admissions but I'm on vacation and can't stop worrying about it!

Basically I did some W/experience in the USA about 3 years ago and had at that time been told that I'd definitely get a reference.

I therefore put this experience on the form and tried consistently to get through to the doc for ages.
Unfortunately he works at 3 different hospitals and works SO MUCH that he's virtually impossible to contact.
I left him on the sheet hoping he'd get back to me but he didn't ...and so now I have a missing ref. and my UCAS decision has been delayed.

How much do you think this would affect my application? Might it be rejected on the basis??

Anyone had something similar happen??

I am new to this forum, sorry if this is sectioned in the wrong thread area.

Just got conditional offer of Biomedical Science from Hertfordshire Uni and Keele. I have wanted to medicine for a long time know, but do not poises the requirements for direct entry.

Reason for writing this is for enquiring, which is better to enter from, Biomed at Keele or Hertfordshire to medicine as a applicant with graduate status?

Stuck on what to do

Hey guys, was hoping I could get a bit of insight.
Last year I applied to both Lambeth & City & Islington access courses. I didn't get on either. The City and Islington one didn't give any feedback but Lambeth rejected on the basis that even though my maths test score was high enough, my GCSE wasn't! They said come back next year with a GCSE Maths grade B or alternatively you can do it with us for something like £800! Safe to say I was pretty peed off.
So the last year I have been trying to reassess my options. I applied AGAIN for both access courses and applied to do a GCSE maths qualification which was due to start January but they cancelled my course :(
I have been trying to weigh up my options as I am in a sticky situation. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Heres the facts...
1) I have a degree in law. It is a 3rd class degree. Yes yes, you may think I don't have a chance. Due to medical reasons I was unable to complete my final year exams (I had an asthma attack the week of). When I retook my university capped me at 40%, meaning my whole grade came down. I'm determined not to let this get me down. But I do realise the chances are slim for me.
2) I have alevels BBB so I don't think I have any chance of going down the normal 6 year route.

So I don't really know what to do. Every year I feel slightly less motivated, I'm trying desperately not to let it get me down! This is the career I want. I am sure of it because I have been volunteering in the field for close to 3 years. I am doing everything I can but that damn law degree keeps letting me down! I wish I could just erase it!

So should I continue down the access course route. See if I perhaps get luckier this time?
Alternatively shall I transfer credits for a course at the OU and get a better grade?
I'm completely stuck here and would like any insight anyone could offer!
