Request for Public Comment and the PATH Study

FDA Center for Tobacco Products 700

This Week in CTP - Updates from the Center for Tobacco Products

On January 29, FDA published a notice in the Federal Register seeking comments, supported by scientific evidence, on what changes to smokeless tobacco warning statements would promote greater public understanding of the risks associated with the use of smokeless tobacco products. Read the full notice here and visit the website to officially submit your comments to the public docket by April 1.

Did you know that FDA and NIH have initiated a joint national study designed to monitor and measure why people start using tobacco, quit using it, and start using it again after they’ve quit? The study is called the Population Assessment of Tobacco and Health, or PATH, and you can click here to learn more about its research goals.
