Posted: 07 Mar 2013 03:51 PM PST Hello :), I am currently nearing completion of BSc in Adult Nursing and am on route for a 1st. I am hoping to apply for Graduate Entry Medicine, however, unfortunately I recived rather poor grades in my GCSEs (1A, 6Bs, 3Cs), and completed A-levels in non-science subjects (English Lit- B, History- B, Politics- B).My question is would I need to take science A-levels to have a decent chance of getting an offer? Also, would sitting A-levels in Biology and Chemistry be viewed as a resit if I have already completed 3 A-levels (although not in these subjects)? Many thanks :)

Policy on graduates retaking A Levels post degree Posted: 07 Mar 2013 06:40 AM PST Hi all, The first time I sat my A levels, I did Chemistry and achieved a pretty bad grade. Since graduating (2.1) and going on to do MSc, I'm now in the process of redoing the A Level. Does the fact that I'm retaking Chemistry rule me out of the 5 year courses as a graduate applicant? For example, King's ask for an E in Chemistry and Biology for graduates, and Bart's ask for a B in both subjects. I'm worried that by retaking after originally getting a bad grade, this has limited me to 4 year courses where they don't consider your A-Levels?
Sheffield Access course no longer enough for mature Posted: 07 Mar 2013 04:50 AM PST Have been in contact with sheffield. Have been advised they will not be accepting access for there 5 year course in 2014. And awaiting descision if they are actually running six year course at all. It clearly states on website they do. Apparently access is only for students who dont have science based A levels. Am now very upset and frustrated to say the least, anyone else wanting sheffield had a different opinion
