This is World Immunization Week. FDA is working with the World Health Organization and other partners to make safe and effective vaccines available all over the world.
Read this Consumer Update to learn what FDA has been contributing to the fight against polio. A successful vaccination program has wiped out polio in the U.S., but the disease still exists in some parts of the world. FDA is working with its global partners to rid the world of this crippling, highly infectious disease.
