The  Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has recently issued alerts or other safety information about a number of products, including
  • an antiseizure medicine that can cause eye abnormalities,
  • a multivitamin supplement with unlisted milk components, and
  • a glucose monitor that turns off when blood glucose levels get very high.
These and other alerts were prompted by reports FDA received from health care professionals and the public through the agency’s MedWatch Adverse Event Reporting Program.
