Average AS, but better A2s. Applying to medical school after A2

Hey guys! I just want to know if I get very average grades at AS, but ace the A2 grades (get the required AAA/A*AA) and apply to med school after my A2s, will universities consider me even if I got average AS results? Speaking only hypothetically of course, I just want to be certain as my AS exams didn't go as well as planned. Thank you for your time
