Another 3rd class- advice welcome Posted: 27 Aug 2013 10:28 AM PDT Ok, another 3rd class degree-(none science) many years ago when I was immature and not interested in education *slapped hands* I won't bore you with further details but I'm registered with the OU who can credit me with 240 credits for a Bsc Open Degree- long story short, with existing credit I can get one of these in no time and uprate that to either a 2:2 or 2:1. Will the GAMSAT uni's accept one of these? Any information very welcome. Obviously I can contact them directly but throwing it out there incase anyone has had any experience or knowledge of this. Thanks! |
help with PS! No recent shadowing experience in a clinical setting.. Posted: 27 Aug 2013 07:46 AM PDT Dear all, I am a graduate applicant currently living in Germany and I would like to ask your opinions! I have applied to med schools as a school leaver and have done some clinical shadowing experience before about 10 years ago. Although it was a valuable experience for me to gain insight of a doctors job, I think they are outdated to put on my personal statement, also I think it is impossible to get proof that i was there back then .I would like to ask if you also agree to not to put this experience on my PS. or can I mention it? I have managed to get a volunteer position in a care house for disabled people in Berlin and I go there for a few days a week. I tried to get something in hospitals both in Uk and germany but there was no luck. Do you think It would be enough to talk about this? To state more about experience in clinical setting, I can also write about observing a surgery in my undergraduate course (neuroscience), or personal experience with doctors when I was staying in a hospital etc. Do you think it would be also ok to formulate PS in such a way? Thank you for your help!!! Juno |
