This Week in CTP - Updates from the Center for Tobacco Products

Today, FDA issued additional tobacco product review decisions, denying the marketing and sale of two new tobacco product through the substantial equivalence review path. The products were found to be “not substantially equivalent (NSE)” to the predicate products to which they were compared. The products under review were not on the market and cannot be introduced into the market. You can find more information about these decisions on our Tobacco Product Marketing Orders webpage.

FDA has also added a new feature to our Tobacco Product Marketing Orders webpage. Site visitors can now sign-up to receive updates about substantial equivalence orders.
