New performance data are available for the dashboards below.

Cross Agency

  • Advisory Committees Dashboard: Both the Tobacco Products Scientific and Toxicological Research (CTP's and NCTR's) Advisory Committees had a 0% vacancy rate as of June 2013. FDA continues to recruit qualified experts with minimal potential for conflicts of interest to serve on FDA advisory committees. As of June 2013, only six committee members were granted waivers out of the 881 that participated in FY13 meetings.
  • Medical Countermeasures Initiative (MCMi) Dashboard: FDA aligned MCMi performance measures and key projects to the MCMi Strategic Plan.

National Center for Toxicological Research (NCTR)

  • NCTR Dashboard: NCTR completed its study of the carcinogenic (cancer causing) risks associated with acrylamide as part of its "Acrylamide, Glycidamide, and Furan Quantitative Assessments" project. Acrylamide, a component of various coffees and baked/fried foods, was shown to cause several dose-related carcinogenic features. As dose concentration was increased, an increase in tumor formation, enlargement of various glands, and weight loss increased.
