Haven't done any work experience/shadowing/volunteering yet for 2015 entry

Hi people!
I haven't done any work experience yet for the 2015 entry into medicine. I am still working on it but I am really worried that it won't be enough by the time I'll be applying. I have applied for volunteering in a charity shop and the process might take one or two weeks but that's all I've got now. I have tried GP shadowing but no one replies! So if anyone's living in Sunderland/Newcastle area, can you help me find work experience/shadowing/volunteering places. Also, I was wondering if I could volunteer at a daycare/nursery as it's in a care environment.

Ambulance technician supporting statement

I was looking for a bit of advice on what they are looking for in the supporting statement of the application for ambulance technician.
Has anyone ever applied without having any medical
Background? And is there anything anybody can recommend that would heighten my chances of getting in?
