| Selling new GAMSAT GradMed + practice questions Posted: 06 Feb 2014 02:26 AM PST I'm selling my GAMSAT material that I used just over a year ago. I scored a 70 on the exam (top ~5%). I did no studying until the last two weeks, when I attended the (very expensive) GradMed GAMSAT course. The notes are brilliant because the tutors on GradMed sit GAMSAT every year. However, I would much rather have just bought them and learnt them in my own time, than going to the course, as the lecturers basically read straight from the notes and it cost a lot of money. There are excellent resources for each of the three sections included and many practice questions and essay samples, all of which are in perfect condition with no markings. Included: - GradMed Gamsat explanation paper - GradMed Gamsat self-test paper with answers (33 pages) - GradMed Full practice exam paper (All 75 questions) - GradMed Gamsat exam techniques and Strategy for the Phsyical Sciences (113 pages) - GradMed Written Communication course booklet (70 pages) - GradMed Simulated Gamsat Practice Questions for SecIII: Reasoning in Bio and Phys Sciences (80 pages) - ACER gamsat practice questions (pdf) - ACER gamsat practice test (pdf) - ACER gamsat sample questions (pdf) - And 6 other gamsat practice papers with over 60 questions in each (pdf) Message me if you're interested |
| Fantastic opportunity for mature students on a 6 year dentistry at Liverpool!!!! Posted: 05 Feb 2014 11:05 AM PST Hello everyone. I am new to this type of thread as I myself am a medical student. However, I thought that it would be good to let you know about a fanastic opportunity at the university of Liverpool for Dentistry. I am currently on the Foundation to Health Studies programme at Liverpool. It is a 1 year foundation year with pathways to Medicine, Vet science, Dentistry and many other science/allied health subjects. It is classed as a 6 year Dentistry degree if you choose that path, as if you pass this year with a mark of 70% or more, you automatically gain a place on the first year of the 5 year undergraduate Dentistry degree. I am letting you know about this as this is the first year that the course has been advertised on UCAS - previously it was apply through university only. We have been told by our tutors and course admissions tutors that they have had a lack of applications to the Dentistry degree and have asked us to spread the word. I know it sounds crazy, but this is the most fantastic opportunity for any mature student with Bs at GCSE!!! The course is designed for mature students with life experience and preferably no previous degrees/level 3 study. However, most people currently on the course have A levels or a degree, so it is flexible. It is one of the only courses I know where there is guaranteed entry onto the Dentistry course if you pass this year, and there is only one interview at the beginning of the course! We study Chemistry, Biology and other health related subjects on a 22 week timetable. The course is run in conjunction with Carmel College in St Helens, therefore all lessons are based there. However, we are students at Liverpool, have access to all their facilities, and the course is fundamentally a 6 year Dentistry course (or medicine/vet medicine if that's the route you choose). The admissions team are still accepting applications for 2014 entry as there has not been enough from the January cut off date, so if you would like to apply get it in ASAP!! Please see the following link for more info on the course or speak to Carmen Nunez for more info! If you want to ask any questions or speak to any current dental students then PM me!!! Foundation to Health and Veterinary Studies (Year 0) - Overview - Undergraduate Courses - University of Liverpool Please take advantage of this, it is a once in a lifetime opportunity! When else do you get told that they NEED people to apply!! Kenndel (6 year Liverpool Medic) |
