Reminder: CTP Director’s Presentation to be Webcast Today at 12:00 p.m. EDT

This Week in CTP - Updates from the Center for Tobacco Products Today, June 11, as part of Legacy’s ongoing Warner Lecture Series, CTP Director Mitch Zeller will be presenting as part of a discussion on one of the key recommendations from the Surgeon General’s 50th Anniversary Report on the Health Consequences of Smoking. In the report, the Surgeon General calls for the acceleration of the national movement to reduce tobacco use, including the “effective implementation of FDA's authority for tobacco product regulation in order to reduce tobacco product addictiveness and harmfulness." For this special Warner Series event, Mitch will speak one-on-one with Legacy President and CEO Robin Koval about the Center's vision for the regulation of tobacco products to help reduce the death and disease toll caused by tobacco use. The presentation will begin at 12:00 p.m. EDT and can be viewed online through the event webcast.
