| Posted: 24 Aug 2014 07:08 AM PDT I'm 17 years old and the only reason why i made an account was to receive some advice. in year 11 i sat two AS level exams in maths and physics along with 8 GCSE's. i Came out with 2 high B's. I then went to college and did two A2's in maths and physics and 2 AS exams in bio and chem. I got a C in physics overall and a D in maths which I am going to resit and hopefully get an A. I messed up in one exam in both my biology and chemistry modules and because of this i got a C in my chem and a D in bio for AS. I also had to go and do religious stuff every day for 3 hours on top of these A levels. This years been an eye opener for me and I know I could have gotten 3 A's and I'm in desperate need of some advice. I also volunteer at the hospital for 3 hours a week. I've helped nurses, got to talk to patients and shadowed some doctors and will be doing this for the whole year. My questions. 1) do you think if I reassure the uni I want to apply for that i can get better grades and really own it, they will give me a place? 2) shall I take a gap year? (after sitting this year and carry on doing work experience) 3) shall I even sit my UK-cat test? ( even if i do good in it.. they might not even consider me..) I really need some advice because I feel really depressed and don't know what to do. |
