Attend Our Second Public Workshop on E-cigarettes and the Public Health

FDA Center for Tobacco Products 700

This Week in CTP - Updates from the Center for Tobacco Products

Today, FDA is announcing the second in a series of three public workshops to obtain information on e-cigarettes and public health. The workshop will be held March 9-10, 2015, and will include presentations and panel discussions about the current state of the science. The focus of this workshop will be the impact of e-cigarettes on individual health, including user exposure, use behavior, abuse liability, dependence, and short and long-term health effects. FDA intends to follow this workshop with a third e-cigarette workshop on population health effects.

FDA believes it is important to gather scientific information from individuals with a broad range of perspectives on technical topics to be discussed at the workshop. Persons interested in being a panelist, presenting, attending, or watching the live webcast must register online or in writing.

For more information, including how to get involved, important deadlines, and topic areas for this workshop, read the full notice online. Don’t forget you can also visit the open docket to submit comments and scientific information about e-cigarettes through April 15, 2015.
