Ann Maxwell, Regional Inspector General for Evaluation and Inspections Testifies on Saving Taxpayer Dollars by Curbing Waste and Fraud in Medicaid http://go.usa.gov/vOx

This morning Regional Inspector General Ann Maxwell will testify before the U.S. Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, Subcommittee on Federal Financial Management, Government Information, Federal Services. She will discuss OIG’s recent work focused on Medicaid program integrity.

CAPTURED: Miguel Cabello http://go.usa.gov/vOr

In July 2008, Miguel Cabello was indicted on charges of Health Care Fraud. According to the indictment, Cabello submitted approximately $2.1 million in fraudulent Medicare claims on behalf of south-Florida-based OB Pharmacy, Inc., and he received approximately $1.3 million in Medicare payments.

That same month, Cabello fled the United States to Cuba. Cabello was arrested by U.S. Customs and Border Protection on June 7, 2012, as he attempted to enter the United States through Champlain, New York.
