| Posted: 20 Aug 2013 02:46 AM PDT My UKCAT test is on the coming Saturday (24th) but i only started revising on the Saturday just gone - left it late, i know! I was wondering whether there is any way for me to magically go from not a score of around 400 in each of the sections to a 700+ in 4 days? Any revision tips? :) Also, i know that i can rebook the test for a later date, but i really wanted to get it done before i go back to school as things will get hectic once i am back (there are currently no times available before then) |
| Gradmed course changes every year? Posted: 19 Aug 2013 12:46 PM PDT Hi, This may be a silly question but do the materials for the gradmed course change every year? |
| Posted: 19 Aug 2013 11:11 AM PDT This is my first post here so please be kind. I was wondering if anyone knows of where I can find data as to the percentage weighting that unis put on the UKCAT for securing an interview, I've looked for ages and can't seem to find anywhere. Also, does anyone know if, in general, higher UKCAT scores are required for graduate entry medicine? |
| Posted: 19 Aug 2013 10:37 AM PDT **12th October 2013** Interested in research? Interested in ophthalmology? Whether you decide to undertake research or not in the future the greater understanding of research and how to evaluate it will prove an invaluable tool in your future evidence-based clinical practice. The Research symposium has been created after much deliberation to allow trainees and students to understand the world of research and how it fits into the NHS and the World of Ophthalmology. The course is the first of its kind and has been welcomed by consultants, students and trainees alike. For those interested in an introduction to academic ophthalmology, it offers advice on the pathways available and the ethical aspects all should consider in what can be a grey area and how to reduce the occurrence of pitfalls. By the end of the symposium, as well as being able to speak to those involved in high volume research, attendees will have a greater understanding of the principles of research and appreciation of its value. This event is funded and hosted by the BUOS, Royal College and Barts' and London University. Programme: 0830 Registration 0855 Welcome and introduction Dr. Vikas Tah 0900 Why is research important?
