Help required where can you do trainee ambulance qualification in Glasgow

Im older (36) probably don't have the correct standard grades but i have about 80 scotvec modules and a hnc. Looking for a career change and always been interested in becoming a paramedic. Understand you need to do the trainee ambulance technician year one then the 2nd year if successful, but how do you get onto this course. i cannot find anything about it anywhere except that on the Scottish ambulance website it says no trainee ambulance places available.
Any info would be brill. I'll have a read at some of the other posts later on to. Thanks
