Hi guys, it's my first post so be kind!
I haven't always known I wanted to go into Medicine, hence my decision to take humanities at A level; results came back as AAB, but hoping after a remark they will be AAA. I have just started my gap year and I have been giving it a lot of thinking but I would really want to go into medicine. It seems like a lifelong, challenging career and I have had some experience as there was a phase at AS when I was thinking about it, so I have seen first hand practice and I really am quite ambitious about it.
I have had some care home experience too and many extra curriculars such as high level rugby.
Anyway, I feel as if though my options are very limited. I was thinking of just doing philosophy (my original choice of degree) then do a graduate course, but I hear these things are both extremely competitive and costly. I am aware of the foundation courses but there are only a couple which I qualify for. Are there any other options out there? Studying abroad is certainly something I'd think about as a friend's sister is currently studying at Lublin in Poland, but are there any paths for a non-science school leaver like me to follow?

I'm just wondering, because I've been out of the loop for quite a long time (illness) and I can't seem to find the answer online. When this year do people apply for F2 posts?

I applied for my F1 and F2 together as a package, but then I was off for so long my contract expired... in the meantime I have to navigate GMC stuff and prove that I'm fit to practice again. Because I haven't finished my F2 I'm sort of still connected to the deanery, and I'm hoping to restart my F2 in August 2014 (I'm doing a Masters in the meantime) - basically I'm getting paranoid that the GMC processes are going to take so long that I'll have missed the deadline. I need to talk to the deanery, but I don't want to sound completely uninformed when I speak to them, IYSWIM?
