Older adults should be extra careful when taking prescription and over-the-counter medicines. They are more likely to use additional medicines, which can increase the chance of harmful drug interactions. And body changes that occur with age can affect the way medicines are absorbed, leading to potential complications.

So the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is sharing four safety tips to help these adults and the people who care for them.
